I don't think I ever shared how we did our sex reveal to our family and friends I just realized. It was awesome! It has kind of a fun story too.
So here we go...
We had been planning to do the typical colored smoke bomb sex reveal, but the weather was looking a little shifty so I asked our phenomenal photographer, Alycia Choroszucha, if she wanted to plan a back up.
As some of you may know, our barber shop is next to Vertigo Music, which is a place Chris and I frequent and spend a shit ton of money every month. So we figured out a plan for doing them in Vertigo and went there right after the shop closed.
Here's how it worked. We had two record. If we pulled Elvis from the stacks, it was a boy. If we pulled the Etta James record, it was a girl.
Alycia made us a freaking GIF to share the news and my perfectionist little heart about burst. it was everything I had hoped it would be. And I can assure you that they fit us a hell of a lot better than the smoke bomb idea, which left us coughing and stinky on that windy day.
We've gone back for multiple ultrasounds and it is still, for sure a girl. And Ana's initial reaction of "Oh Nooooo" when they told her she was getting a sister is still her reaction at 34 weeks. We can't wait to see Alycia this weekend for our maternity photo session! It's going to be pretty epic too.
