Returning to Fine Art Portrait Photography

I've had many moments on my photography journey I've re-evaluated where I was going with my work and this is one of them.

We have one more wedding on the docket for 2018 and I (for the most part) will be saying goodbye to the wedding photography industry and returning to my fine art portrait photo work.

Shooting photos again for singular images and not a set of images has been incredibly strange, but exciting for me. Watching something in my head become a sketch, then turning into a real photograph is something I've missed and I can't wait to return.

Behind every future image, I have an amazing partner helping me create the scenes I imagine. Chris has been nothing short of encouraging. When I have put the camera away and said "I'm done for good," he finds ways to bring me back to photography and I wouldn't be where I am today without him and everything he's done for me. A photographer is only as good as the person fanning and repositioning 50 miniature rubber ducks for them.

I'm working on an online portfolio to showcase my new work, so until then, you can have the first look here.
